Product Description
Sumatra Mandheling carries a smooth taste with a sweet and solid body, broad aroma and very little acidity.
This is Socially and Environmentally Responsible Coffee (SERC). Socially and Environmentally Responsible Coffee is a combination of being organically-grown, providing adequate shade and shelter to birds, and being purchased from the farming cooperatives at fair trade prices (25-45% above regular natural coffee prices).
Each pod is packaged in our signature wrapper.
The ten pods are packaged in an SFI cube box.
The SFI cube is made of natural paperboard with typically 25-30% less fiber than other box materials. Compared to other virgin fiber products, that's 25-30% fewer trees to produce the same amount of boxes. Against bleached paperboard, it is better for the environment because strong solvents are not used to bleach the pulp. Paper, like wood, has a grain. If you take a close look at this box, you can see the grain because this box has been left natural. It has no coating and has not been bleached. And speaking of wood, the box is made from SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) lumber, harvested observing environmentally sensitive practices.
